PROGRAM & PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Program Management
NikSoft's Program Management is focused on higher level vision, organization strategy, goals and objectives, coordination and prioritization of resources across projects, managing links between projects and the overall costs and risks of the program. We evaluate return on investment with the intention of improving an organization's performance. We believe that the Program is ongoing, and is a group of related projects in a coordinated manner to obtain benefits and control. Our program managers have oversight of the purpose and status of projects in a program and will use this oversight to support project-level activity to ensure the program goals are met. Programs often have to react to changes in strategy and environment in which the organization resides.
Program management is also known as portfolio management. Program management is a large, complex project, where the integration aspect of project management is more important than in smaller projects. Integration management is a key feature of the Project Management Institute's approach to project management and NikSoft uses PMP’s as appropriate.
Project Management
Project management deals with the dynamic allocation, utilization, direction of resources (both human and technical) with time, in relation to both individual efforts and product delivery schedule. Projects have a defined beginning and end date and are focused on delivering the right output at the right time and the right cost. Project managers’ coordinate individual projects. They are overseen by the program manager who accounts to the program sponsor. Project management is managing projects efficiently and effectively and in accordance with the Project Management Institutes PMBOK and where appropriate managed by Project Management Professionals (PMP).
